Shopify Plus Agency: Plus Partner for Scaling Brands
As a Shopify Plus agency with official Plus Partner status, Rankist supports brands that have outgrown standard Shopify: multiple markets, B2B and D2C in one system, automations, high order volumes and a checkout that can be adapted to the business model. We are listed in the Shopify Partner Directory as a Plus Partner, rated 5.0 out of 5 stars from 30 customer reviews, and have been delivering Shopify projects since 2015. Here you will learn when Shopify Plus makes sense, what we concretely implement as a Shopify Plus agency and how the switch works.
When a Shopify Plus agency is worthwhile
Shopify Plus is the enterprise version of Shopify. The switch is worthwhile not because of a logo, but when at least one of these points applies to you:
You sell into several countries with their own prices, languages and tax rules and need Expansion Stores or Shopify Markets with advanced features.
You have B2B customers with their own price lists, minimum quantities, payment terms and company accounts that should run alongside the D2C shop.
Your checkout needs custom fields, upsells, rules or a design that is not possible in the standard checkout.
You want to automate recurring processes: customer segments, fraud checks, tagging, notifications, launches.
Your revenue is at a level where Shopify Plus transaction fees are cheaper than those of the standard plan.
If none of these points apply, we will tell you so in the initial consultation. Many requirements can be solved on Shopify Advanced, and a Plus contract without benefit is just a higher monthly fee. We describe what Shopify Plus offers in detail in our article Shopify Plus for scalable e-commerce brands.
Services of our Shopify Plus agency
We implement the features that make the difference with Shopify Plus and combine them with what a shop needs anyway: design, performance, SEO and marketing.
Checkout Extensibility: Custom checkout blocks, upsells, fields for gift messages or delivery notes, validation rules and branding in the checkout, implemented with Shopify Functions and Checkout UI Extensions.
Shopify Flow: Automations for customer tagging, VIP segments, callbacks on suspected fraud, stock alerts and internal notifications.
B2B on Shopify Plus: Company profiles, catalogs with their own prices, quantity tiers, payment terms, invoice orders and self-service customer accounts for business customers.
Multi-store and internationalisation: Expansion Stores or Shopify Markets per country, central product data, prices in CHF and EUR, multilingual support for DE, FR, IT and EN.
Integrations: Connection to ERP, inventory management, fulfilment, accounting and marketing tools via Shopify apps or custom interfaces.
Migration to Shopify Plus: Move from Shopware, Magento, SAP Commerce or a standard Shopify shop with complete transfer of data and URLs.
Operations and growth: Monitoring, launch support for campaigns, conversion optimisation, SEO and ads after go-live.
Shopify Plus agency Switzerland: specifics for Swiss brands
Swiss brands switching to Shopify Plus almost always also sell into the EU. This means two tax regimes, customs handling, CHF and EUR side by side and often three national languages in the shop. Shopify Markets and Expansion Stores can map this cleanly if the structure is right from the start. In addition there are TWINT at checkout, invoice purchases for Swiss customers and the requirements of the revised Swiss Data Protection Act. We implement these points for Swiss customers and at the same time support brands from Germany and Austria that want to enter the Swiss market.
What the Shopify Plus Partner status means
In the partner directory, Shopify distinguishes between partners who build standard shops and Plus Partners who have demonstrably delivered Shopify Plus projects. The status is awarded by Shopify and tied to project evidence and customer reviews. Rankist has been listed in the directory since April 2022 and holds Plus Partner status. For your project, this means direct contact with the Shopify Plus team, early access to new Plus features and experience from Plus setups that are already live.
How a Shopify Plus project with Rankist works
Analysis: We review your current shop, your processes and your growth goals and tell you whether Shopify Plus is the right tier.
Architecture: We define whether you need a shop with Markets or several Expansion Stores, how B2B and D2C are separated and which systems are connected.
Implementation: Theme, checkout extensions, flows, B2B catalogs and integrations are built in sprints with approvals in the staging shop.
Launch: Data migration, redirects, tests of payment and shipping logic, go-live with support.
Scaling: After launch we optimise conversion, SEO and ads and expand automations.
Shopify Plus agency costs
You pay the Shopify Plus licence fee directly to Shopify; it depends on your revenue. We bill our services as an agency per project phase at a fixed price, and ongoing support monthly. A Plus project involves more architecture and integration work than a standard shop, but later fewer workarounds and apps are needed. Frequently asked questions about Shopify Plus
Can I switch from my existing Shopify shop to Plus without rebuilding?
Yes. Theme, products, customers and orders are retained. The switch unlocks additional features, which we then set up.
Do I need Shopify Plus for B2B?
For simple reseller prices, Shopify with a B2B app is often enough. Company accounts, catalogs with their own prices, payment terms and invoice orders as native features are only available on Shopify Plus.
How long does a Shopify Plus project take?
An upgrade with checkout adjustments and flows takes a few weeks. A migration with several markets, B2B and ERP connection takes two to four months. We define the timeframe in the architecture phase.
Do you also look after ongoing operations?
Yes. Most Plus customers stay with us after launch for further development, monitoring, SEO and ads. You can find the contact on our contact page, where you can book an initial consultation directly.
